Where did all those years go?

Today, I sent a facetious criticism to Thom over at the Sons Of Nothing website because he hadn't updated the band's The Story So Far page in a while. Thom wrote back and said:
You should talk, Mr Fozzolog. :-)
So... I've effectively been guilted into posting an entry.
Speaking of Sons Of Nothing, please do go over and check them out. The music is great. The band is composed of some very, very talented guys. They're out of the boxes running. If you're in the greater Salt Lake City area, see if you can drop in at one of their shows and give them a listen. Their live performances are terrific.
I'm not just saying this stuff because I'm on the CD either.

About 94,694,400 seconds ago...
Three years ago, on 31 August 1998, or, approximately ninety four million seconds ago, my daughter Maya was born. Thus, began fatherhood and all its joy, pain, love, and frustrations. I'm very happy to celebrate three years of this wonderful life of hers. She is a very precious person and the light of my life. I'm very happy to have known her. She's awesome!.
Christine and I don't really know yet exactly what we're going to do for Maya's birthday. We do know that our parents will be coming to our house this weekend to do the gift-giving thing and smothering the smatterings of love and adoration. We've been talking about going bowling and going out to eat tonight.
Philosophical Study
This last Tuesday marked the first session of my last class required for my bachelor degree in Computer Science at Utah State University. That's right: I'm on the eleven and a half year plan.
I'm taking Philosophy 1010 - an introductory Philosophy class. I figure this will be a relaxing class for me as I've taken two philosophy classes before: Ethics and Philosophy of Religion. The professor seems very cool and was highly recommended by a friend of mine.
