Ahhhh... Thanksgiving. I'm thankful I'm alive.

Today, we drove to my parents in West Valley to have Thanksgiving Dinner with my parents, my brother, and his kids. It rained the entire way down. Add this to the fact there were about five times as many people on the road as usual and you've got a potentially bad situation. On one occasion, a drive in the lane to the right of me did not see me and changed lanes into my lane - nearly running me off the road.

So, we arrived at my parents' a little tense, but intact. My dad's cousin Claudia showed up too, which was cool. She's done some videography work and has a beta-format video camera and roll editing equipment. I showed her some stuff I've done digitally. She was pretty impressed, especially with the stuff I did by scanning in photos and using MediaStudio Pro to pan and zoom with the images. If she were to do that with her equipment, she'd have to videotape the photo and do all the panning and zooming by hand.

Tecia showed up too. Nobody's really sure what Tecia is - she used to be my brother's girlfriend, but I think, now, she's a "friend of the family." She's cool. She brought her son Bo too.

We ate dinner, had dessert, and then headed back north to Christine's parents for more dessert and family-visiting.
