A bright breakfast

Time to slap up some pictures!

First off, we've got a picture from the New Years Eve party we went to at our neighbors Brad and Julienne's house. Then we have all the kids piled up on top of me on our couch in the living room. Thirdly, we have Lucy wearing some Bono-esque sunglasses one of the girls got for Christmas. She's got a cute smile plastered on her face. Finally, me and the girls shovelling our three-car-wide, three-car-deep driveway after the big wet storm a couple weeks ago.

Jennie's Breakfast

Jennie has yesterday and today off from work, so we asked her to come over this morning for breakfast. We had a delicious feast that included hash browns, sausage, bacon, french toast, and orange juice. Yummy!

Last night, we all went over to Jennie's house and helped her pack away Christmas decorations and vacuum since she was feeling like she was falling behind on her housecleaning. I didn't think Smoochy* was there because we didn't see him the whole time. It turns out, he was in bed the whole time we were there. He hasn't been feeling well, apparently.

Judging by Jennie's latest jennielog, things aren't going super-well with her and Smoochy*. I know she had hoped his recent emotional breakdown in which he admitted he had some behavioral problems would be the beginning of positive change. But, it sounds like he's still trying to validate his old theories that she's crazy and other bullshit like that.

After told Jennie me on Monday she felt she had to give him another chance because his breakdown touched her heart, I told her I hoped it would work out, but that I really doubted it would. Smoochy*'s 33 years old and while he says he loves Jennie, his treatment of her indicates to me he doesn't love her enough to change.

Jennie and I also talked about Smoochy* not loving and/or respecting himself and how that's probably got to change before he can have a good relationship with other people, including her.

Knowing Jennie, she won't give up right away, but I know she has some concern he's going to file his own divorce paperwork if she doesn't start "being nice" (i.e. being intimate?!).
