Thom wrote about it from his perspective and, having read that, I'm surprised how different it was from mine or from what I expected it to be.

I think the dichotomy of our perspectives on the show can be explained a couple different ways: First, Thom has a certain obligation (or feels he does) to spin these things as positively as possible for a variety of reasons. Secondly, while things in my world were almost as bad as they could get (don't worry, we'll get to that), I still managed to pick up the pieces and provide a generous baseline of services to the show. While I was wallowing in self-pity and frustration, everyone else was satisified.
