So much to talk about. I always feel like I'm forgetting to include things in the Fozzolog (flog). Well, I guess I don't feel too bad, really. None of my buddies have added anything to their weblogs for a while either.

Another good one from Engrish.com:

A scary “near death” experience

Friday night, after I got home from Orem/Salt Lake, I was feeling a little groggy, so I tested my blood-glucose levels. My meter said it was at 300. That's pretty high for me (normal is between 80 and 120), so I shot some insulin - about six units - and I gradually felt better the rest of the evening.

However, I woke up around 2:30 a.m. on top of the bedcovers, my heart pounding, and drenched from head to toe in perspiration. I remember it took me a long time to figure out what was going on. Finally, it occured to me I was having a low blood sugar reaction. It was odd that it was happening, but nonetheless, it was happening.

I dragged myself into the kitchen where I got some juice out of the fridge. As I was drinking the juice, I felt drops of sweat dripping off the end of my nose. That's how much perspiration I was dealing with. My underwear and undershirt were completely soaked.

I ate some fruit jam and some sugary cereal, then took a warm bath, and went back to bed.

Pretty scary, though.

Maya's first word (read)

One of the first things Maya said to me when I came home this weekend was that she could read. What has lead her to this discovery? Well, the word “LINUX,” of course. She's seen it all over the house and has naturally learned to recognize it.

Kind of cool.

Laura's wedding

Laura's WeddingLast weekend was Christine's younger sister — Laura's — wedding. As usually, I was asked to be the videographer for the event. My buddy Chadd and I used two cameras to capture the post-temple activities at the Bountiful Temple where the couple was married. Then we went to the wedding breakfast and got some video and pictures there. Later that evening, we recorded the reception. Everything on our end went relatively smoothly. The only downside was the weather that morning. It was cold, cloudy and windy. While the overcast skies meant there were no harsh shadows for pictures, the wind was a nuisance.

I started a section in the events section of the site for pictures and video from Laura's wedding, so check that out. There might even be something there.

On the way home that evening, there was a massive rainstorm. I hadn't seen that kind of rain since Christine and I spent the summer of 1997 in Minnesota. I don't think I have ever seen it rain like that in Utah before.

The storm that dumped that rain on us, proceeded east to dump record levels of snow on Wyoming and Denver this last week. Apparently, it's the largest amount of snow the area has received in ninety years!
