The Fazzolog

I went to lunch by myself today. It's been a while since I've done this. My cube-mate Dave and I usually head to lunch together and he's working from home today. He's getting his DSL modem hooked up and wants to be there for the exciting moment when broadband Internet actually enters his home.
I chose to go to Fazoli's for lunch. It seems like people either like Fazoli's a lot or they don't really care much for it. I like it. The only problem I have is that almost everything at Fazoli's is full of carbohydrates. Because of my diabetes, this tends to drive my blood sugar levels up the chart.
Today, however, I took it easy and ordered a small plate of spaghetti and limited myself to three of their luscious buttered breadsticks. Oooooohhhh!
Slashdotted
Dave's Root 101 article was accepted on Slashdot's developers section today. We've been watching the hits accumulate on our server as people come to check it out. It's a milestone for us: Our site on Slashdot.
Dave is working on a new article that's bound to be another Slashdot-worthy article - probably making the Slashdot home page. I can't really say anything else beyond that.
Flyering
I threw together a flyer for the next Sons Of Nothing show coming up on March 14. It's not my best flyer work, but it is an attempt to do something a little different for them.
Birthday love
Tomorrow is my wife's birthday. Yesterday, her sisters arranged a surprise birthday party for her. She stopped at her sister Sarah's house on the way down to meet me for dinner and all her sisters were there to wish her a happy birthday. The kids had fun and Christine was tickled to be the recipient of a birthday surprise like that.
It was nice to see Christine last night. She, Maya, and Lucy were excited to see me and I them. We went to Warren's in Roy and had dinner. The girls were not very hungry, however, because they ate a lot of party food at Sarah's house earlier. Christine and I both had roast beef sandwiches and both regretted it. Warren's hamburgers are better.
One Fozzolog to blog them all
Hey! Chadd is bloggin! After setting up Thom with the Fozzolog software over on the Sons Of Nothing site and Dave on his site, I've set up Chadd's site too. That brings the total Fozzolog software installations up to FOUR sites. Wow. I'm impressed!
I think it's time for some changes and improvements.
Engaging News
My sister is engaged! Nice guy. Of course, there's concern going around in the family she might be jumping into this (she only got divorced last Fall), but considering that her ex-husband (the [BLEEP]) hasn't been paying his child-support payments and is generally bitter, it's good for her to have someone “nice” in her life for a change. We haven't spent a lot of time with him, but he does seem like a great guy. Of course, it seems like almost ANYBODY would be an improvement over her ex-husband.
