New TerraStar site & Lantus

I've been very busy this last week putting the finishing touches on the new website for TerraStar International (my full-time employer).
With the help of Corrine over at MindFog Media Design, I got this website up in pretty good time.
While the website was supposed to be one of my tasks when I was hired in July, I had a lot of issues to resolve first related to EDI and general office network issues. We began work on the website in September and shot to have the site live by October 15. It went live on Oct 17, so we didn't do too bad.
The site is hosted on a colocated server hosted at XMission Internet, the best ISP in Utah. The server is a SuperMicro 6010H with a single Intel Pentium III 800Mhz CPU (the server is dual-capable), 512MB ECC/Registered RAM, and two Ultra160 18GB SCSI disks. Red Hat Linux 7.1 is installed on the system and the web server is Apache 1.3.19 w/ mod_perl.
The shopping cart, secure checkout and search facilities are mod_perl handlers.
New Insulin
I paid a visit to my doctor this last Monday to discuss my recent changes in blood/sugar readings and to get a flu vaccination (strongly recommended for all diabetes because diabetes is an immune system disorder.) He recommended I switch from NPH insulin for to Lantus for my basal insulin.
Lantus isn't available in an injection pen yet, so I've had to learn how to draw insulin from a vial with a syringe. That's been interesting. The first night I did it, I was watching the recent Darren Aronofsky film, Requiem For A Dream - which contains many scenes depicting intraveneous drug use. That was an interesting evening.
